Gordon Named All-WCC Women’s Tennis Singles Honorable Mention

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis player JennaMarie Gordon was named All-West Coast Conference Singles Honorable Mention, the conference office announced on Thursday.

The all-conference voting and major awards were voted by the 10 conference head coaches.

Gordon, a freshman transfer from Gonzaga, played all 16 singles matches at either the No. 1 or 2 positions and finished with a 4-12 record including 3-9 atop the lineup.  One of those wins came on the road against fellow All-WCC singles honorable mention player Kate Ketels of Gonzaga.

Pepperdine, which finished the regular season undefeated in conference play, swept the major conference awards.  Ashley Lahey was named WCC Player of the Year.  Taisiya Pachkaleva was named Freshman of the Year with Per Nilsson taking home the Coach of the Year honors.
