Meet the Future of Bronco Volleyball – Oren Abutbul

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara volleyball announced the signing of Oren Abutbul, a transfer from the University at Albany.

"I chose Santa Clara because of the wonderful people on the team, coaches, and staff, as well as the beautiful campus and its great location," said Abutbul.

The opposite hitter from Zichron Yaakov, Israel, recorded a season-high 20 kills against New Hampshire last season, her only year playing at Albany. The 6-foot-1 Abutbul also had 88 total blocks last fall.

Abutbul played high school volleyball at Hof HaSharon and helped the team to a first place finish in the secondary league in Israel competing with the academy for sport excellence where she was twice named league MVP.
