Women’s Water Polo Signs Two Players for 2020-21

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara's women's water polo has signed Maddie Clough and Chloe Morrison to national letters of intent for the 2020-21 season.

"We are very excited to have Chloe Morrison and Maddie Clough sign early to Santa Clara," Santa Clara head coach Keith Wilbur said.

Clough, a native of Deerfield, Massachusetts, attends Deerfield Academy. She was named All-New England first team and helped her team secure third place at New England's state tournament in 2018. In addition to water polo, Clough enjoys working with children and intends to major in child studies.

"Maddie is a strong left-handed attacker," Wilbur said. "Along with playing at the Deerfield Academy, she also plays club water polo for San Diego Shores, one of the top clubs in Southern California."

Morrison, a native of Orinda, California, attended Miramonte High School. She is a three-time Diablo Athletic All-League recipient. She helped her team to a CIF Division 1 Championship win and an undefeated season in 2017. Morrison participated in Sea Serpents, teaching swim lessons to children with special needs.

"Chloe is an excellent center defender from Miramonte whose team made it to the NCS Championship game," Wilbur said.
