Three Women's Water Polo Players Earn National Honor

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Three Santa Clara women's water polo seniors earned national recognition.

Lydia Dadd, Hailey Eberle and Maggie Oys were named honorable mention All-Americans by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).

A three-year starting goalie who hails from Fremont California, Dadd led the Golden Coast Conference in blocks (128) this season. A three-time member of ACWPC All-Academic team, she started in 64 of her 74 career appearances, totaling 584 saves and 58 steals.

Eberle, a three-year starter and team captain from Orinda, California, led the team in goals (31), assists (24), steals (21) and field blocks (7) this season. She played in all 102 games the last four years and ranks fifth in school history in assists (103) and seventh in steals (90).

Another three-year starter, Oys ranked second on the team in goals (22) and third in kickouts drawn (13) this season. A driver and team captain from Davis, California, she appeared in 101 career games, registering 83 earned ejections, 70 goals, 67 assists and 56 steals.
