Student-Athlete Spotlight: Gabi Sicat

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Gabi Sicat of women's water polo has not only made her presence felt in the pool but has excelled in the classroom as well. The junior, who moved into a starting role in 2020, is a two-time GCC All-Academic Team and two-time All-ACWPC All-Academic Team selection. In the water, Sicat has totaled 33 goals, 57 assists, 34 steals, and 38 earned ejections.

Why did you pick Santa Clara?
For the amazing education, beautiful campus and the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love. 

Favorite Bronco memory thus far?
Traveling to Michigan for a tournament and watching the snow fall during breakfast at the hotel.

My teammates because they push me and inspire me to be the best version of myself.
