SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The 2019-20 Santa Clara men's basketball schedule has been finalized with the announcement of the 16-game West Coast Conference slate.
The Broncos, heading into their fourth year under head coach Herb Sendek, will play home and away against Gonzaga, Pacific, Pepperdine, Portland, Saint Mary's, San Diego and San Francisco, but once against BYU (road) and Loyola Marymount (home).
After 15 nonconference games, Santa Clara opens league play on Jan. 4 at home against San Diego.
The Broncos, who have a roster of eight returners, including the top five scorers from 2018-19, begin a stretch of three games on the road on Jan. 9 with a matchup against San Francisco. That tilt is followed by meetings with Saint Mary's on Jan. 11 and Gonzaga on Jan. 16.
Santa Clara faces Gonzaga at home on Jan. 30 and Saint Mary's on Feb. 27. The regular season concludes with a home matchup against Portland (Feb. 29).
Santa Clara opens the season on Nov. 5 vs. UC Santa Cruz at home, the first of 13 nonconference games in Leavey Center.
Three Pac-12 Conference games are on the schedule, including home tilts against Washington State (Nov. 12) and California (Dec. 7). Santa Clara plays at Stanford on Nov. 16.
The WCC Tournament will take place March 5-10 in Las Vegas.
All game times will be announced once the WCC finalizes the television broadcast schedule.
