SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball remains home to take on rival Saint Mary's Saturday at 2 p.m.

Per Santa Clara County guidelines, fans are not permitted in Leavey Center.

The Broncos started the week with a home defeat at the hands of Pacific Thursday.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 37-43 all-time against Saint Mary's with the first meeting coming in 1978-79. Earlier this year the Broncos topped the Gaels 77-59 in Moraga.

THE BRONCOS

Santa Clara (10-7, 6-5 WCC) is scoring 63.6 points per game while shooting 40.8-percent from the floor and 32.5-perent from downtown.

Lindsey VanAllen's 13.0 ppg are tops on the team and the junior also leads the Broncos with 1.5 steals per game and 25 3-pointers made. Ashlyn Herlihy is scoring 11.4 ppg and pulls down a team high 6.8 rpg. Merle Wiehl is scoring 9.6 ppg with 5.3 rpg and Ashlee Maldonado leads the way with 3.4 apg while adding 4.5 ppg.

THE GAELS
Saint Mary's (5-13, 3-9 WCC) looked to be turning its season around with three straight wins but has since lost three in a row. The Gaels score 63.2 ppg on 41.7-percent shooting from the field and 33.0-percent from beyond the arc.

Taycee Wedin leads the team with 11.8 ppg and 43 3-pointers made. Madeline Holland averages a team best 2.3 apg while scoring 11.7 ppg and Finau Tonga scores 10.6 ppg with 7.6 rpg. Brianna Simonich averages a team leading 8.7 rpg while scoring 5.2 ppg.
