SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball heads down south to take on LMU Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Last week, the Broncos won an exciting game at Portland on Thursday before falling at No. 17 Gonzaga Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 49-29 all-time against LMU with the first meeting coming in 1984-85. The Lions took the first meeting of the season on January 2.

THE BRONCOS

Santa Clara (12-8, 8-6 WCC), winners of four of six, is averaging 64.2 points per game as a team this season on 41.5-percent shooting from the field and 33.2-percent from beyond the arc.

The Broncos offense is led by Lindsey VanAllen's 12.3 ppg. The junior also leads the team with 1.4 steals per game and adds 4.2 rpg as well. Ashlyn Herlihy pulls down a team best 6.9 rebounds per game while scoring 11.9 ppg. Merle Wiehl has hit 28 3-pointers, the most on the team, and leads in both field goal percentage at 53.3-percent and 3-point field goal percentage at 44.4-percent. She also grabs 5.2 rpg. Ashlee Maldonado scores 5.6 ppg and leads the team with 3.4 apg.

THE LIONS
LMU (5-13, 4-9) has lost six in a row after starting conference play 4-1. The Lions are being outscored by an average 66.1-59.3. They shoot 38.9-percent from the floor and 31.8-percent from downtown.

Ariel Johnson leads the team with 12.8 ppg and 2.7 apg while grabbing 4.8. Chelsey Gipson's 28 3-pointers are a team high and she scores 10.2 ppg. Khari Clark leads the Lions with 6.3 rpg and scores 8.4 ppg while Ciera Ellington is scoring 9.7 ppg to go with 4.8 rpg.
