NCAA Tournament Bracket | Game Notes
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Eleventh-seeded Santa Clara women's soccer is set to take on Ohio State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Saturday at 5 p.m. Pacific. The match will be played at East Carolina University.
The No. 10-ranked Broncos, who earned a first-round bye, haven't played a match since topping San Francisco 4-0 on April 3. They had games against Gonzaga and San Diego canceled, and earned an automatic NCAA bid for winning the West Coast Conference.
All NCAA tournament games are being held at sites in North Carolina. A total of 300 tickets are available for Saturday's match. They will be sold first come, first serve. The box office opens one hour before kickoff.
The winner of No. 6-seeded Arkansas and Utah Valley will face either the Broncos or Buckeyes in a third-round match that will be played on Wednesday, May 5, in Cary, North Carolina.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (6-1) enters the tournament seventh in the country in scoring with 2.7 goals per game and 8.3 points per game. The Broncos have outscored their opponents 19-6 while holding a 101-56 edge in shots and a 53-26 advantage in shots on goal.
They had an impressive showing on the All-WCC teams with nine different honorees. Alex Loera was the Defensive Player of the Year with Sally Menti taking home Freshman of the Year. Head coach Jerry Smith was named co-Coach of the year as well.
Kelsey Turnbow has scored a team-high seven goals and added four assists for 18 points. She is tied for sixth in the nation with 1.0 goals per game and is fifth with 2.6 points per game.
Izzy D'Aquila has scored five times and added one assist and Menti is tied with Turnbow for the team-lead with four assists and she has scored once as well. Four other Broncos have found the back of the net with nine have added at least one assist.
Marlee Nicolos has allowed six goals and has a 0.96 GAA while posting 14 saves for a .700 save percentage. As a team, Santa Clara has four shutouts.

THE BUCKEYES
Ohio State (8-2-3) is coming off a 5-1 win over Stony Brook in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Buckeyes have outscored their opponents 26-13 while outshooting teams 191-172 with an 89-62 edge in shots on goal.
Emma Sears leads the team with seven goals and 17 points. Kayla Fischer and Peyton McNamara have both have scored five times with four assists and three, respectively. Brittany Duncan's five assists are the most on the team.
In net, Bailey Kolinsky has allowed 13 goals for a 0.96 GAA. She has made 47 saves and has a .783 save percentage to go with three shutouts.
