Softball Adds Former Player Hannah Russell as Volunteer Assistant Coach

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara softball has added former player Hannah Russell as its volunteer assistant coach for the 2020-21 season. Russell graduated in 2020 with a degree in communication. 

During her four years as a Broncos, Russell started 123 of the 126 games she played in and hit .313, seventh in program history. She is also tied for 10th in RBIs. As a sophomore she batted .331 and as a junior .320, both times being named First Team All-WCC.

She appeared in 13 games during the shortened 2020 campaign, scoring four runs with a double and seven RBIs.

Russell will work directly with the catchers.
