SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara softball returns to action Saturday with a doubleheader at Fresno State. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

The Broncos fell at Pacific 3-1 in a nonconference game on Sunday.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara's (3-7) is hitting .254 as a team and has scored 67 runs with 12 doubles, four triples, and a home run.

Ashley Trierweiler is third in the country with a .567 batting average and a .649 on-base percentage. She leads the Broncos with 10 runs scored, five stolen bases, and two triples while adding a double and four RBIs. Emma Bickford is hitting .429 with a team-high 14 RBIs and four doubles to go with a triple and a home run. She has scored four runs as well.

Regan Dias has thrown a team-leading 44 2/3 innings in 10 games, including seven starts. She has four complete games and one shutout while also adding two saves. Zoe Straughn has tossed 10 1/3 innings with Lauren Anderson and Liyah Lopez both pitching 6 frames.

THE BULLDOGS
Fresno State (20-7) is hitting .283 as a team with a .388 on-base percentage and a .478 slugging percentage. The Bulldogs have scored 156 runs with 37 doubles, 13 triples, and 22 home runs.

Kaitlyn Jennings leads the team with a .359 average, 32 runs scored, and 21 steals in 22 chances. Kelcey Carrasco has a team-best six home runs and 26 RBIs while hitting .329. Hayleigh Galvan is hitting .355 with 14 RBIs and Adrianna Noriega is batting .343 with 17 runs scored.

Hailey Dolcini has tossed a team-leading 95 1/3 innings with a miniscule 0.95 ERA to go along with 151 strikeouts. She is 12-3 in 17 appearances that include 16 starts and 14 complete games. She also has eight shutouts and a save. Dariana Orme has thrown 39 2/3 innings with a 2.82 ERA and Danielle Lung has a 3.21 ERA in 32 2/3 innings.
