Men’s Tennis Plays BYU Saturday, USD Sunday In Home Finale
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis concludes its 2017-18 season home schedule this weekend hosting BYU on Saturday and No. 39-ranked San Diego on Sunday.  Sunday's match will be senior day for Sebastien Mathieu who will be recognized prior to the match.

This weekend's matches will be critical for the Broncos since the last four matches on the schedule including three against conference opponents, will be on the road.

Santa Clara (9-8, 1-3 WCC) is coming off losses against Portland and Gonzaga last weekend and currently sit ninth in the conference standings.  The Broncos will look to climb the standings facing two of the top three schools in BYU (14-5, 3-1 WCC) and San Diego (9-7, 3-0 WCC).  The top six teams get a bid to play in the conference championship.

Prior to facing Santa Clara, the Cougars of BYU will play at Saint Mary's on Thursday and at San Francisco on Friday.

San Diego, the 39th ranked team in the nation, features No. 72-ranked singles player August Holmgren and a pair of ranked doubles teams: No. 60 Gui Osorio and Nico Borter along with No. 63 Joel Gamerov and August Holmgren.  The Toreros will play at San Francisco on Saturday before facing the Broncos.
