Women's Soccer Welcomes Wisconsin Sunday at Noon

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Continuing its stretch of NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago, No. 22 Santa Clara women's soccer hosts Wisconsin Sunday at noon at Stevens Stadium. The Badgers will be the sixth-straight postseason team from 2015 the Broncos will play to start the season.

Santa Clara is 2-1-0 all-time against Wisconsin. The last meeting came in 2009 at the Stanford Nike Classic when the Broncos came away with a 2-0 win. All three previous meetings were played a neutral site.

On Thursday Santa Clara battled Marquette to a 1-all draw. The Broncos are unbeaten in their last 10 overtime matches. They are 7-0-3 with the last loss coming vs. Cal on Aug. 24, 2014.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (2-2-1) is led on offense by senior Jordan Jesolva. She leads the team with three goals and seven points. She has one assist to tie for the team lead. Jenna Roering, Janae Gonzalez, and Kellie Peay all have scored one goal with Roering, Maddie Gonzalez, and Jazmin Jackmon each adding an assist each.

Melissa Lowder has started all five games this season and has allowed five goals for a 1.05 GAA. She has made 14 saves and has a .737 save percentage while collecting one shutout.

Courtney Ogren made her collegiate debut against Marquette and played the final 65 minutes. She allowed one goal and picked up four saves.

THE BADGERS
Wisconsin (1-2-2) started the season with a 1-0 win over Illinois State but has gone 0-2-2 since. Both losses have come to ranked teams with a 1-0 loss at No. 13 Notre Dame and a 2-1 loss at No. 2 Stanford on Thursday.

Micaela Powers leads the team with two goals scored and four points. Dani Rhodes has scored the only other goal of the season for the Badgers. Sydney McGinnis and Emily Borgmann have one assist apiece.

Caitlyn Clem has played every minute in net for Wisconsin and has allowed four goals for a 0.73 GAA. She has 19 saves and a .826 save percentage to go with two shutouts.

Parking: For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive.
