Meet the Future of Santa Clara Women's Soccer: Kelsey Turnbow

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer has added Kelsey Turnbow to the 2017 roster. Turnbow is from Scottsdale, Ariz. and attended Pinnacle High School. She has already started classes at Santa Clara. She played club for SC del Sol.

During her freshman, sophomore, and junior season in high school Turnbow was named team MVP, All-Conference, All-City, All-District, All-Region, and All-State. She was named a Top Drawer Soccer All-American as a sophomore and a junior and an NSCAA All-American junior and senior years.

She was the Washington Gatorade Player of the Year in 2013-14 and 2014-15 and the Arizona Gatorade Player of the Year in 2015-16. In three years of high school soccer, Turnbow scored 86 goals and had 11 assists while leading her team to the Washington state championship in 2013-14 and 2014-15. During the 2015-16 season, she was the highest U17 ECNL goal scorer.

Turnbow has also been part of the U14, U15, U17, U18, U19, and U20 US Women's National Teams.

Playing for SC del Sol she was a two-year captain and scored 41 goals during the 2015-16 season.

She had a 4.0 GPA in high school and was on the honor roll all four years. She plans to major in finance. Off the field Turnbow enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
