Women's Soccer Hosts Pacific Friday in West Coast Conference Home Opener

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer returns home to face Pacific Friday at 7 p.m. in the West Coast Conference home opener. The Broncos, No. 37 in the RPI, look to keep their record perfect against the Tigers.

Santa Clara is 9-0 all-time against Pacific with the first meeting coming in 1981. Last season Broncos beat the Tigers 3-1 in Stockton. The last meeting at Stevens Stadium was a 2-0 Santa Clara win in 2014.

Last week Santa Clara went to Provo and battled No. 3 BYU to a scoreless draw. The Broncos were just the second team this season to shutout the No. 5 scoring offense in the country. Two days later Santa Clara fell 1-0 at San Diego.
