Meet the Future of Santa Clara Women's Soccer: Shelby Schumacher

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer has added Shelby Schumacher to the 2017 roster. Schumacher is from Denver, Colo. and attended Kent Denver High School. She played club for Colorado Storm.

As a senior Schumacher was a team captain at Kent Denver. She was the team MVP as a junior and a freshman as well as being named All-Conference both years. She was also First Team All-State as a junior and second team as a freshman. She missed her sophomore season with an MCL injury.

She led the team in scoring as a freshman and was second in scoring as a junior while leading in assists. Her team made the state semifinals her first two years of high school and won the state championship the next season. Max Preps and NSCAA awarded her with National Player of the Week honors during her junior campaign.

Schumacher has been an Academic All-American and plans to study in the Leavey School of Business. Off the field she enjoys coloring and spending time with family and friends.
