SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara softball plays its first midweek game of the year against Bucknell Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at San Jose State.
The Broncos topped Weber State and Northern Kentucky over the weekend to earn a split in the Silicon Valley Classic II.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (4-12) has scored 46 runs on the season on 19 doubles, three triples, and three home runs.
Sammy Needham leads the team with a .465 batting average, a .558 on-base percentage, and eight doubles. She has added eight runs scored and eight RBIs as well. Regan Dias is hitting .415 with a team-high 11 nine RBIs and 11 runs scored while Eleni Spirakis is batting .327 and leads the team with 12 runs scored. Spirakis has added five doubles, a triple, and a home run.
Lauren Anderson has thrown a team-high 48 1/3 innings in 12 games, including nine starts with two complete games and a save. Regan Dias has tossed 26 innings in seven games and has made four starts with a complete game. Lauren Schiek has pitched 18 innings with Aubree Kim adding 15 1/3.
THE BISON
Bucknell (6-10) has been outscored on the year 64-58 while hitting 27 doubles, three triples, and seven home runs. The Bison have a 3.09 team ERA with 68 strikeouts in 102 innings.
Taylor Wolfgang leads Bucknell with 12 RBIs and seven doubles and is hitting .295. Lauren Hadley has smacked a team-high three home runs and has scored eight runs. Allyse Volpe is hitting .326 and leads the team with 10 runs scored and Jess Hom has a team-best .344 batting average.
Raeanne Geffert leads the team with 56 2/3 innings pitched and 48 strikeouts. She has made nine starts and 12 appearances with seven complete games and one shutout while posting a 3.09 ERA. Lauren Lichtenwalner has thrown 33 1/3 innings with a 3.36 ERA and Violet Matlock has a team-low 2.33 ERA in 12 innings.
