SANTA CLARA, Calif.- After two postponed matches due to inclement weather, the Broncos faced the Sunbirds from Fresno Pacific on their home court Wednesday, falling 5-2. Fresno Pacific swept the doubles matches, despite close matches. Freshmen Ashley Pane and Courtney Hull earned the Broncos' only two points in their singles matches. Pane defeated Amandine Ferot at No. 5 with a 6-2, 6-4 victory while Hull won her match 6-1, 6-2 against Brittany Salley at No. 6.
The loss puts Santa Clara at 1-7 this season and advances Fresno state to 7-0.
