SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's tennis team will host the University of Wyoming on Saturday, March 22 at Degheri Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. The match is the Broncos last home contest until mid-April.
SCU enters the weekend with a 3-9 overall record after rallying past CSU Bakersfield, 6-1, on March. 16. Courtney Hull and Carmen Pham ride four-match win streaks into the contest against Wyoming. In last weekend's match-up, both players won in straight sets with Hull sweeping her opponent (6-0, 6-0).
Scouting Wyoming
The Cowgirls (9-4) recently slipped past San Jose State with a 4-3 victory on Wednesday. Rebecca Berger now owns an 8-4 singles record at the No. 2 spot, while Sarah Summerfield is 9-2 at No. 5 singles. Brittany DeFelice has gone undefeated in singles action for the Wyoming with a 9-0 six-spot record. The top doubles part for the Cowgirls is Berger and Corina Lazar, who are 7-4 at the No. 1 spot.
Last Time Out Against Wyoming
The two teams last met on Feb. 21, 2004 with the Cowgirls edging the Broncos, 4-3. SCU's Janalle Kaloi earned a three-set No. 1 singles win, while Casey Knutson won at the No. 3 spot. The Broncos third point came in an intense two-set (3-6, 7-5 (10-5)) triumph at the fifth spot.

Santa Clara begins a five match road trip on March 26 at Portland State. First serve is slated for 10 a.m.
