SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Bronco women's tennis team fell 5-2 to the UC Davis Aggies Wednesday afternoon at the Degheri Tennis Center. Stephanie Galainena and Ashley Pane earned the Bronco's two points, while Carmen Pham and Courtney Hull extended their doubles win streak to three matches.
In singles play, Galainena defeated Robin Guier of Davis 7-5, 6-4 at the No. 1 position. Later on, Pane earned a point for the Broncos defeating Kaitlin Callan of Davis 6-4, 7-6 (3) playing at the No. 5 position.
In doubles action, the freshman duo of Pham and Hull defeated the Davis doubles team of Robin Guier and Emma Sharpiro 8-6. This win extends Pham and Hull's doubles streak to three matches. The freshman will look to keep that streak alive this Saturday at home.
The Broncos face off against the Roadrunners of Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Degheri Tennis Center.
