Santa Clara at Portland Baseball Postponed

April 22, 2001

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Santa Clara at Portland West Coast Conference baseball game Sunday was halted due to inclement weather and will be resumed Monday at 1 p.m. at Pilot Stadium.

The game was halted after the bottom of the second inning with the Pilots holding a 5-1 lead. Starter Matt Travis gave-up all five runs before surrendering the mound to reliever Kellen McConnell.

The Broncos scored the first run of the game in the top of the first inning.

Santa Clara is scheduled to play at Sacramento State Tuesday in the first of five games in six days. The Broncos play at Fresno State Wednesday evening then play a WCC series at Loyola Marymount beginning Friday.
