Seniors, All-WCC Honorees Lead Broncos Into Season-Opening Event

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf is playing in the Hobble Creek Fall Classic Monday and Tuesday in Springville, Utah. It marks the first tournament of the 2015-16 season for the Broncos.

Santa Clara enjoyed a strong finish to its season a year ago, placing third at the WCC Championships, and come in as one of the highest-ranked teams at the event.

The Broncos are led by All-WCC First Team honoree, sophomore Kristin Le, and All-WCC junior Annie Freman. Seniors Monique Riley (pictured), Ashley Noda and Meghan Shain round out an experienced lineup for SCU this week in Utah. Kyleigh Moreno, a sophomore from San Jose and Archbishop Mitty, is playing as one of 16 individuals in the season-opening tournament.

Dates: Sept. 14-15, 2015 (Monday-Tuesday)

Details: Two-day/54-hole tournament. Action will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. MT each day. The field will play two rounds on Monday and one on Tuesday.
