SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Santa Clara women's golf team is back in action Monday at the Wyoming Cowgirl Invitational in its final tournament ahead of the West Coast Conference championship. The Broncos will compete with 18 other squads on the 6,231-yard, par-72 Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz.
Coming off a third-place finish at the Sacramento State Invitational, the Broncos have placed among the top four in eight of their nine events in 2015-16 with three team titles and enter the tournament ranked No. 99 in the latest Golfstat.com poll.
Three individual medalists will help comprise Santa Clara's five-player team. Annie Freman, Ashley Noda and Kristin Le, will be joined by Monique Riley and Cynthia Navis. Sophomore Kyleigh Moreno will compete as an individual.
Monday's first round will begin with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. (PDT) with 36 holes scheduled to be played. Tuesday will consist of a single 18-hole round.
