SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara's Annie Freman was named West Coast Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for March.

In last month's two tournaments, Freman had a pair of top-five finishes, including her school-record fourth individual title (she added a fifth at last week's Wyoming Cowgirl Classic).

The junior won the Fresno State Classic (March 7-8) with an 8-under total of 136 (67-69). The event was shortened to 36 holes due to rain on the first day. Her opening round 5-under 67 tied for the best round in school history while her 36-hole score snapped Miki Ueoka's Santa Clara mark of 7-under at the Fresno State Lexus Classic (Feb. 23, 2009). Freman won by three strokes, helping the team finish fourth in the 14-team field.

The native of Las Vegas, Nevada, went on finish tied for fourth at the Sacramento State Invitational (March 21-22) with a total of 8-over-par 224 (74-75-75) and was just four strokes out of first place. The Broncos finished third among the 15 teams in the field.

Freman has finished among the top five in six of her last seven tournaments.

The Broncos will play in the WCC Championships beginning Monday at Blackhawk Country Club in Danville, California.
