EXHIBITION NOTES
-Twenty-one players played in the exhibition opener against Menlo College and 20 saw action in the second exhibition match against UC Davis.
-The Broncos have scored four goals in the two exhibition matches by four different players (Nicholas Cudini, Juan O'Neill, Dylan Bartlett and Javier Ruiz Duran).

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara head coach Cam Rast begins his 20th year at the helm to lead a squad that returns 20 players including four All-West Coast Conference honorees from a team that finished 4-4 during a COVID-19 shortened season in the spring.

Eighteen of the returners played in the last two seasons with 15 of them appearing in at least five matches last spring.  Among them are all five players that scored goals and the returning goalkeeper Andreu Cases Mundet who closed the year with three-straight shutouts.

The Broncos will be led by preseason All-WCC selection Javier Ruiz Duran.  The two-time All-WCC first team honoree led the team in assists with three and scored a pair of goals to tie for second on the squad including the game-winner at Portland (April 3).  His seven points were second most on the team behind Oladayo Thomas' nine points.

Thomas, playing in his first year with the Broncos after transferring from Gettysburg College, finished the spring season on a tear scoring four goals in the final three games.  Two of his goals were game-winners coming against Gonzaga (March 28) and San Diego (April 11).  He also added an assist to finish with a team-high nine points to garner All-WCC honorable mention along with senior Alejandro Barajas and freshman Caden Buckley.   Buckley was also named to the All-Freshman team.

STANFORD CARDINAL
Head coach Jeremy Gunn is in his 10th season at The Farm, leading the Cardinal to three-straight National Championships (2015-17).

The Cardinal blanked CSU Bakersfield 4-0 in their exhibition opener last Saturday on a pair of goals by Carlo Agostinelli with Aiden Weaver and Layton Purchase scoring a goal apiece.
