A Pair of Women's Golfers Tabbed Preseason All-WCC

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Sarah Busey and Emily Sumner of Santa Clara women's golf earned spots on the Preseason All-West Coast Conference team.

Busey and Sumner were All-WCC choices in 2018-19 when they led the team to six top three finishes.

A junior, Busey competed in all 10 events last season, posting a team-best 73.43 scoring average and six top 10 showings.

Sumner, also a junior, competed in all 10 events as well in 2018-19. She had five top 10 finishes and the second-best stroke average on the team (73.97).

Busey finished tied for 27th at the season-opening Hobble Creek Fall Classic earlier this month. Sumner was unable to compete due to injury.

The Broncos will play in the Ptarmigan Ram Classic in Fort Collins, Colorado, beginning Monday.
