ST. GEORGE, Utah – Bolstered by a top-10 finish from junior Sarah Busey, Santa Clara women's golf completed its second spring tournament with a seventh-place showing in the BYU at Entrada Classic with a 921 team total.

The Broncos picked up steam in Tuesday's final round with a tournament-low 305 but were unable to crack the top-5, finishing two-shots behind Idaho and Princeton (919). It was the lowest team score since a 300 in the opening round of the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational last October.

North Texas built a big enough cushion to withstand Tuesday's 302 winning the tournament by 19 swings over runner-up Iowa with a total of 875.

Busey navigated the 6,082-yard Entrada at Snow Canyon Golf Course to a team tournament-low 1-over 73 on Tuesday to grab a share of 10th with four other golfers at 8-over 224. It was her first top-10 of the entire season and eighth career.

A final round 76 launched sophomore Claire Choi 10 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 25th with a 232 total.

Juniors Emily Sumner and Anne-Claire Tande both carded a final round 78. Sumner bounced back from yesterday's 83 to finish tied for 36th at 235. Tande matched her career-low round finishing at 237. Senior Chloe Wong had a tournament total 236 after rounds of 77-79-80.

Lauren Cox of North Texas claimed individual medalist honors with her even-par 216, one swing better than Princeton's Tiffany Kong.

In two weeks the Broncos are off to the Hawai'i to compete in the Anuenue Spring Break Classic at the Kapalua Bay Course on the island of Maui.
