SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara's Sarah Busey and Marni Murez were among 10 student-athletes named to the 2019-20 WCC Women's Golf All-Academic team.
Claire Choi, Isabella Seeburger and Anne-Claire Tande, as well as Chloe and Naomi Wong, earned an honorable mention nod.
For the second-straight year, Murez, a neuroscience major, posted the highest GPA turned in by a WCC women's golf student-athlete capping her collegiate career with an unblemished 4.0 GPA.
Busey, who majors in finance with 3.62 GPA, also earned a spot on the team for the second-straight season. Playing in all six tournaments, she posted a 75.72 scoring average, best on the team, which had its season cut short in early March.
Murez competed in five events this season, posting a 79.33 scoring average.
To be considered for the team, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
