SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Marni Murez is a three-year member of the Santa Clara women's golf team. The senior has appeared in 18 events during her time with the Broncos and finished in the top 20 six times. In 2019, she was named WCC All-Academic.

Our come from behind victory in the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational last fall.
Why did you choose Santa Clara?
I liked the campus atmosphere and how welcoming everyone was. It was also clear that I could accomplish my academic goals at SCU as well as my athletic goals.
Favorite class at SCU?
Magicians, Athletes and Gods. It was such a fun and engaging class. The professor was very passionate about the subject and told amazing stories.
Biggest inspiration?
My grandpa. He is a 96-year-old Holocaust survivor. He always encourages me to accomplish my goals.
Two truths and a lie?*
I used to swim competitively.
I love olives.
I have two cats.
Favorite hobbies outside of playing sports?
Hiking and exploring new places.
