Play Postponed at Women's Golf Spring Opener

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Opening-day action in the first spring tournament for Santa Clara women's golf was suspended.

Play in Monday's first round of The Battle at the Rock was halted due to extremely windy conditions at Oak Quarry Golf Club in Riverside, California.

The 17-team field was scheduled to play 54 holes, including 36 on Monday, at the 6,093-yard course. A determination on the remainder of the tournament will be made on Tuesday.
