Women’s Golf Signs Three Players for 2020-21

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara's women's golf has signed Inara Sharma, Marie Jordaan, and Olivia Venderby to national letters of intent for the 2020-21 season.

"I'm very excited for this trio to join us in the fall," Santa Clara head coach Krystal Kelly said. "This group has a good amount of tournament experience and will contribute not only on the golf course, and in the classroom but also in the Santa Clara community. They all bring something unique to the team."

Sharma, born in Hong Kong, attended Hong Kong Academy. She was invited to play in the Hong Kong Ladies Open (LPGA event) as an amateur last May. She had two top-10 finishes this summer in the United States, including one at the Future Champions Golf event in Palm Springs and one at the Optimist in Florida. Away from golf, she presented a TEDx talk at a university in Hong Kong.

Jordaan, a native of Lakewood, Colo., is a three-time member of the Colorado Academy State Championship Team. She competed in the 2019 National Girls Junior PGA Championship and finished in the top half. In addition to golf, Jordaan is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and an active participant in the Colorado Children's Hospital Club.

Venderby, a native of West Linn, Ore., was a three-time first team all-state top-10 selection at West Linn High School. She was a medalist at the 2019 USGA Girls Junior Qualifying Tournament. Venderby is a member of National Honor Society and was awarded the Oregon Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish.
