SONOMA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golf newcomers Julian Paltrinieri and Eugenio Bernardi are tied for 13th after 36 holes of play at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational.
The duo carded an identical 1-under 72-71--143 on the day and tallied a combined 16 birdies over the two rounds. Bernardi is playing as an individual, meaning his score will not count towards the team total.
Nolan Forsman is right behind his teammates in a tie for 18th at even par 72-72--144 while Alex Conley is two strokes behind at 2-over 72-74--146 and tied for 29th.
Calder Overfelt (76-74--150) and Alejandro Gutierrez (74-76--150) are tied for 45th, and Viraj Garewal (76-76--152) and Jolo Magcalayo (76-76--152) are tied for 52nd.
The Broncos are currently in seventh place at 7-over 292-291--583. Harvard leads the field at 10-under 566 and Long Beach State's Ian Gilligan is holding on to the individual lead at 8-under 70-66--136.
