Men's Golf Returns To Action Thursday Through Saturday at The Goodwin

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - After two straight tournaments in the Beaver State, Santa Clara men's golf will return to the Bay Area this Thursday through Saturday at the Goodwin held at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.

NOTES

  • This will be Santa Clara's sixth of eight tournaments this spring. The Broncos are fresh off an eighth place finish at the Oregon Duck Invitational where Julien Paltrinieri was the top Santa Clara finisher with a tie for 22nd. 

  • This will be the 53rd installment of the Goodwin Presented by Palo Alto Networks. The tournament is named former Stanford Coach Wally Goodwin, a two-time National Coach of the Year Award winner with the Cardinal. The course for this weekend's event is the prestigious TPC Harding Park.

  • This year's field is crowded with 28 teams in attendance. In addition to the Broncos and host-Stanford, BYU, Cal Poly, Florida Atlantic, Fresno State, Georgia Tech, Howard, Lipcomb, Little Rock, Mercer, Northern Illinois, San Jose State, SMU, Saint Mary's, Cal, UC Davis, UCLA, USC, Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, San Diego, San Francisco, Utah, Washington and Washington State will all be competing for the title. 

  • The Broncos' lineup will be Paltrinieri, Calder Overfelt, Viraj Garewal, Eugenio Bernardi and Nolan Forsman
