SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis will wrap up the 2019 fall season playing hidden dual format matches against Pacific, San Francisco and host San Jose State starting Friday. 

 

"We will play singles against one team and doubles against a different team each day.  So we get to lineup and play similar to a team dual match like in the spring but there's no team scoring as it's only individual matches," explained Broncos head coach Ben Cabell of the hidden dual format.  "At the end, we get three matches out of it because of the trio of schools that are participating."  

 

The three-day tournament will be played at the San Jose State Tennis Complex and the full Bronco squad is expected in play.    

 

"The team is in good shape.  We are catching up because we typically start behind in the fall with the quarter system we have here and classes starting late.  But I like where the team is at," said Cabell.  "We are going to use this tournament to work on some of the things we've been working on in practice and also to continue to evaluate our doubles teams."
