Strong Finish for Women’s Tennis at San Jose State Fall Invite
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Santa Clara women's tennis concluded the fall season in strong fashion winning a total of six matches at the San Jose State Fall Invite on Sunday for their highest single day win total during the three-day tournament.  
 
The Broncos took four out of six singles matches against Pacific and came on top in both doubles matches against San Francisco.  Doubles partners Maddie Pothoff and Katya Tabachnik won their match as well as the singles matches.  
 
Madison Clarke and Nadine Del Carmen joined Pothoff and Tabachnik as singles winners.    
 
Clarke defeated Elise Frigout, 6-4, 6-1.  Del Carmen downed Danielle Zamor 6-4, 6-2 while Pothoff handled Dohee Lee 6-4, 6-0.  Tabachnik came back to beat Anna Ramos Vinolas in three sets, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2.  
 
In doubles action, Pothoff and Tabachnik defeated Mya Bui and Emily Mansfield, 6-4.  The other Broncos doubles victory came from Elvena Gevargiz and Caitlyn Frankel over Chiho Mushika and Alicia Yue, 7-6 (7-3).  
 
Sunday's six wins topped the win totals from Friday where they won four and Saturday's three to conclude the fall season.
