Women’s Tennis Hosts South Dakota on Friday
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis hosts South Dakota on Friday at the Degheri Tennis Center.  First serve is at 2 p.m.

The Coyotes (1-9) will play their 11th straight match on the road having played all their previous 10 matches on the road this season.  They last played at UC Davis on Tuesday, losing 5-2.

Santa Clara (4-5) will look to bounce back after dropping both matches last weekend against two ranked opponents losing to No. 40 San Diego in the West Coast Conference opener and to No. 35 Furman to start the current homestand.

"We played against two really tough teams last weekend who are NCAA Tournament teams.  We competed against them, winning the doubles point against USD and Maddie went toe-to-toe against the No. 16-ranked player that played at the top of Furman's lineup," said Broncos head coach Ben Cabell.  "We look forward to playing at home again before starting our conference season."

Elvena Gevargiz has a team-high four match win streak in singles action.
