Women’s Tennis Racks Up Nine More Wins at Cal State Fullerton Invite on Saturday
 
FULLERTON, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis picked up nine more wins during the second day of the Cal State Fullerton Invite on Saturday.  
 
The Broncos went 4-2 in the singles matches against San José State, 1-2 in doubles versus Cal State Fullerton and 4-1 in doubles facing Grand Canyon.  
 
Maddie Pothoff, Katya Tabachnik and Giulia Hayer each won three times on the day.  
 
Against SJSU, Pothoff was victorious over Alba Pedrero Galindo 7-5, 6-0, Tabachnik handled Lara Marco Mas 6-4, 6-2 and Hayer took down Tess Menten 6-3, 6-0.  Jamie Schroer defeated Savannah Sendar 7-5, 7-6(5).  
 
Pothoff and Tabachnik teamed up to earn the lone doubles win over the Titans, 7-5 against Eira Tobrand and Camila Garcia.   The Bronco duo also beat Grand Canyon's Emilia Occhipinti and Celina Buhr for their third win of the day.  
 
Hayer paired with Elvena Gevargiz as well as Lindsey Pesqueira to beat a GCU doubles team twice to get her second and third win of the day.  
 
The hidden dual match CSUF Invite will conclude on Sunday.
