MALIBU, Calif. - Santa Clara women's tennis fell at No. 17 Pepperdine on Friday afternoon by a score of 4-0.

Santa Clara (6-9, 1-4 WCC) lost the doubles point to Pepperdine (12-4, 4-0 WCC). The Waves earned a 6-0 win on court three and a 6-1 victory on court one to secure the point.

Pepperdine claimed singles victories on courts six, five and three (in that order) to clinch the victory. Sophomore Madison Clarke dropped the first set on court one to No. 8 Luisa Stefani by a score of 6-4 but was winning the second set 3-1 before the match was called due to Pepperdine clinching the victory. Junior Zeina El Tawil was also leading in the second set by a score of 3-2 after dropping the first set 6-3 to No. 85 Laura Gulbe.

The Broncos play next at Loyola Marymount on Saturday at 11 a.m. PT.
