SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis released its 2020 spring schedule that includes three matches against teams that qualified for the 2019 NCAA Tournament.  Broncos head coach Niall Angus made the announcement.  

 

The Broncos will compete in 22 dual matches with 10 of those at the Degheri Tennis Center where they boast a 29-5 record the last three seasons.  

 

Santa Clara gets right into business beginning the dual match season with a pair of West Coast Conference road contests at Pepperdine (Jan. 18) and LMU (Jan. 19).   The Broncos play seven straight road contests to open the spring and nine of their first 11.  The road stretch is highlighted by the National Team Indoor Championships tournament (Jan. 25-26) at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend in Los Angeles.  

 

The Broncos play 2019 NCAA Tournament qualifier UC Santa Barbara, in the opening round of the tournament and on March 7, face another tournament qualifier, Fresno State, on the road.  

 

SCU finishes the regular season playing eight of the last 11 at home including against defending WCC Champion San Diego on April 11 Senior Day.
