Men’s Tennis Falls to Pepperdine in the Dual Match Season Opener on Saturday
MALIBU, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis opened the dual match season on the road against West Coast Conference foe Pepperdine on Saturday, losing 5-0 with the match clincher by Pietro Fellin on court six.    
 
The Waves (1-0, 1-0 WCC) picked up the doubles point on the clincher from Adrian Oetzbach and Robert Shelton tandem who took down Jesus Tapiador Barajas and Santiago Hinojosa, 6-3.  Enrique Luque Rico and Tim Zeitvogel picked up the other doubles win over the No. 52 ranked Broncos duo of Arthur Neuhaus and Vasileios Iliopoulos, 6-3.  
 
In singles action, preseason All-West Coast Conference selection Corrado Summaria beat Tapiador Barajas, 6-1, 6-1 on court one to put Pepperdine up 2-0 on the team score.  
 
Robert Shelton's 6-2, 6-1 win over Hinojosa on court five gave the Waves a 3-0 lead before Fellin's match clincher over Nick Cmager, 6-2, 6-1.  
 
Mid-year enrollee Mann Shah made his Bronco debut, losing 6-1, 6-2 to Tim Zeitvogel on court four.  
 
The Broncos (0-1, 0-1 WCC) face another WCC opponent, LMU, on Sunday at 10 a.m.
