NOTES

  • The Broncos are playing the first of 18 games at home, including 10 nonconference tilts. The first four games of the season are in Leavey Center.
  • Last season, Santa Clara posted a 12-8 record with an abbreviated schedule. The Broncos reached the WCC Tournament quarterfinals. They won their opening two games for the first time since 2003-04 when they reached the semifinals. Santa Clara defeated Portland and Pacific before falling to Pepperdine.
  • The Broncos return their top three scorers in Josip Vrankic (15.2 points per game), Jalen Williams (11.5) and Keshawn Justice (10.9). Vrankic also ranked first on the team in rebounding (8.2 pg) and Justice was second at 5.1. Williams averaged 4.1 rebounds per game a team-high 1.2 steals per contest.
  • Jaden Bediako, Miguel Tomley and Giordan Williams join that trio as returners from last season's squad. Bediako has 23 career starts and was a 2019-20 WCC All-Freshman team pick. Williams averaged 5.6 points per game and led the team in 3-point field-goal percentage (43.9) last season. Tomley played in 16 games, averaging 4.1 points per game.
  • The newcomers include two transfers and four freshmen. PJ Pipes, a guard, is the most experienced of the group. He is a graduate transfer from Green Bay where he averaged 14.5 points and shot 40.7 percent from behind the 3-point line. Pipes has played in 126 career games with 83 starts. Parker Braun, an agile big man, spent the last two seasons at Missouri, playing in 44 games. He is eligible to play this season. The freshmen are Jacob Holt (Ladner, Delta, British Columbia), Brenton Knapper (Ontario, Calif.), Carlos Stewart (Baton Rouge, La.) and Camaron Tongue (Medfield, Mass.).

Individuals under the age of 12 are exempt from providing proof of vaccination and testing. Click here for detailed instructions.
