NOTES

  • The Broncos host a pair of big rivalry games this week beginning with Saint Mary's on Tuesday and San Francisco on Saturday, Feb. 12. Following that, Santa Clara will play four of their last five regular-season games on the road. 

  • Santa Clara is 16-8 and 6-3 in WCC play after posting their third-straight win on Saturday evening with a 79-66 win at San Diego. The Broncos have won four of their last five games with the lone loss coming at San Francisco (88-85). 

  • Santa Clara is 10th nationally in field goal percentage (48.8) and is one of just five  teams in the nation that is shooting 48.8 percent from the floor and 37.9 percent from 3-point range. 

  • The Broncos are the only team in the WCC with three players averaging 14.0 ppg or better (Jalen Williams, Josip Vrankic and Keshawn Justice). They are one of just three teams in the league (Gonzaga and Portland) with four players averaging 10.0 ppg or better.

  • Santa Clara leads the all-time series over Saint Mary's, 137-93, however the Gaels have won 12 of the last 16 meetings, including earlier this season in Moraga, 73-65.

  • Jalen Williams is the WCC's second-leading scorer with 18.1 ppg and is averaging 17.0 ppg in WCC play. The Gilbert, Ariz., product has 10 games of 20 or more points and 16 games with at least 16 points. 
  • Keshawn Justice is the only player in the nation shooting 43.8 percent or better from 3-point range while also averaging at least 7.0 rebounds per game. Justice is second in the WCC with eight double-doubles and has the 17th best 3-point shooting percentage nationally. 
  • Josip Vrankic has been a force as of late, scoring at least 13 points in his last six games while averaging 17.3 ppg. He is shooting a team-best 57.3 percent in league play.

EVENT PROTOCOL - INDOOR
As of January 31st, SCU Athletics has returned to full capacity for indoor events. Spectators attending men's and women's basketball games at the Leavey Center will be required to show proof of Covid vaccination or a negative test. Click here for detailed entry requirements.

Guests and essential game staff will be required to wear a mask at all times while at the event. N95, KN95, or KF94 masks are recommended. To eliminate the opportunity for patrons to remove masks, concessions and bistro will be closed and no outside food or drink will be permitted. Patrons not complying with the mask requirement will be removed from the event.

HOW TO WATCH
The game will be a national television broadcast on ESPNU. Eric Rothman will have the play-by-play call with Adrian Branch serving as the analyst. 

HOW TO LISTEN
All home games and road contests can be heard on the TuneIn app (Premium). A select number of games can be heard on KDOW-AM 1220, including Tuesday's game against the Gaels. Anthony Passarelli (play-by-play) calls the action in his 15th season as Voice of the Broncos. The Lunardi's Pregame Show begins at 7:50 p.m.
