NOTES

  • Santa Clara is gearing up for another big stretch. After taking on San Diego on the road Saturday, the Broncos will host two rivalry games next week against Saint Mary's (Feb. 8) and San Francisco (Feb. 12) before hitting the road for four-straight games.

  • Santa Clara is 15-8 and 5-3 in WCC play after posting back-to-back wins over Pacific and LMU. Saturday's game against USD will be the Broncos' second time seeing the Toreros this year. The first was a thrilling 78-74 overtime victory inside the Leavey Center.  

  • Santa Clara is one of just seven teams in the nation that is shooting 48.7 percent from the floor and 37.9 percent from 3-point range. 

  • The Broncos are the only team in the WCC with three players averaging 14.0 ppg or better (Jalen Williams, Josip Vrankic and Keshawn Justice). 

  • Santa Clara leads the all-time series over San Diego, 52-39, and have won four of the last five games, including earlier this season (78-74 in OT). 

  • The Broncos are ranked 12th nationally and behind only Gonzaga in the WCC in FG percentage this season with a 48.7 percent clip. 

  • Keshawn Justice is coming off his WCC-leading eighth double-double of the year with 13 points and 10 rebounds vs. LMU. 

  • Josip Vrankic moved up to 10th on the school's all-time top-10 list for career points with 13 points against the Lions. 
  • San Diego is just one spot behind the Broncos in the WCC standings, currently sitting in fifth with a 6-4 record. 

  • The Broncos needed overtime to take down the Toreros in the first go-round with regulation ending in a 70-70 tie. Josip Vrankic scored six points in the OT period to lead the Broncos to a 78-74 victory.
