SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 20-24-8 all-time against Stanford and 6-4 in the NCAA Tournament.
Earlier this season the Cardinal beat the Broncos in Palo Alto. The last meeting in the NCAA Tournament was as 1-0 double overtime win for Santa Clara at Stanford in the 2016 second round.
NOTES
- Santa Clara has been to 31 NCAA Tournaments, 11 College Cups (1989, 1990, 1992, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2020, 2021), and won two National Championships (2001, 2020). The program became just the seventh with two or more national titles. Only three teams have more.
- The Broncos have won the West Coast Conference 12 times (1993, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2013, 2020, 2021).
- Kylie Foutch was named the West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week and Kelsey Turnbow took home Offensive Player of the Week on November 1.
- Kelsey Turnbow is in fifth place at Santa Clara in career goals with 54. Next is Jenni Symons and Jacqui Little with 63 each. She is in a tie for for sixth with Danielle Slaton, Jenni Symons, and Karen Medved with 35 assists. Next is Little with 37. Turnbow is also at 142 points, which is fifth. Next is Jenny Fechner's 156.
- Turnbow joined Mandy Clemens (67), Jenny Fechner (66), Jenni Symons (63), Jacqui Little (63), and Mikka Hansen (52) as the only Broncos in the 50-goal club with a pair of scores at Pacific.
- Head coach Jerry Smith is in his 35th year. He has 519 career wins, the third most Division I wins in women's soccer history.
- The Broncos bring back all but two starters.
TICKETS
Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children, seniors, or students. Group tickets are $4. Gates to Stevens Stadium, as well as its ticket office, are open one hour prior to the start of the match.
The first 300 Ruff Riders will be given a free ticket.
EVENT PROTOCOL
All Santa Clara Athletics home events will operate in compliance with state, county, and university COVID-19 guidelines. While masks are not required for outdoor events on campus, we highly encourage fans to wear masks especially when social distancing guidelines cannot be met or when others around you are eating or drinking. Seating in Stevens Stadium is general admission and we encourage everyone to utilize appropriate social distancing in the stands and common areas. Updates will be provided should there be an adjustment in protocol.
PARKING
For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot (see below for access), located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive.
