Men’s Golf Senior Earns Preseason Recognition

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Matt McCarty of Santa Clara men's golf was voted to the preseason All-West Coast Conference team.

McCarty was of 10 golfers named to the team. A fifth-year senior, he has played in 39 career tournaments, finishing 15 times in the top 10.

The native of Scottsdale, Arizona, has a 71.63 career scoring average, including a team-best 71.19 in seven events last season.

He currently ranks No. 64 on the PGA Tour University standings.

McCarty was an All-WCC choice in both 2017-18 and 2018-19.
