Men's Golf Heads to Oregon for Bandon Dunes Championship

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golf will make its first trip out of state to participate in a tournament.

The Broncos will be one of 14 teams competing in the Bandon Dunes Championship in Bandon, Oregon. There will be 18 holes of competition Monday through Wednesday at Bandon Trails Golf Course.

Last time out, Santa Clara finished fourth at the Sacramento State Invitational led by top 10 finishes from Matt McCarty and Berk Harvey.

That duo will anchor the squad again in this event and be joined by Jack Avrit, Zack Kaneshiro and Alex Conley. Oscar Zimmerman will compete as an individual on the par-71, 6,752-yard course.

Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford and San Francisco are among the teams taking part in the tournament.
