Men's Golfer Earns National Recognition

NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) named Matt McCarty of Santa Clara men's golf to the Division I PING All-West Region team for the first time in his career.

McCarty, a fifth-year senior, is coming off an appearance at the NCAA Cle Elum Regional and four top 10 finishes in the team's seven events.

A three-time All-West Coast Conference selection, he posted a team-best 70.86 scoring average and is ranked No. 44 nationally by Golfstat.com.

Hayden Shieh was the last Bronco to earn a spot on the All-West Region squad. He was named in both 2016-17 and 2017-18.
