Men's Golf Senior Earns All-League Honors

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Matt McCarty of Santa Clara men's golf earned All-West Coast Conference honors.

The fifth-year senior, who recorded four top-10 finishes in seven events this season, earned a spot on the first team for the third time in his career.

McCarty finished with a team-best 71.00 stroke average. He scored in the 60s in seven of his final 12 rounds of the season.

McCarty, who is ranked No. 55 nationally by Golfstat.com, is expected to earn a spot to play as an individual in the NCAA Tournament. That announcement will be made on Wednesday with the selection show airing on Golf Channel at 11 a.m. Pacific.
