SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball heads back on the road for a trip to Southern California, beginning at Pepperdine Thursday at 7 p.m. The Broncos fell at home last week to BYU and San Diego.

Santa Clara (12-5, 3-3 WCC) is outscoring opponents 65.9-57.5 and outrebounding teams 41.3-32.9. The Broncos shoot 39.5 percent from the floor and have hit 60 threes as a team. They are fourth nationally in free throw attempts (387) and fifth in free throws made (267).

As a team Santa Clara is seventh in the nation with 23.0 turnovers forced per game and third with 221 total steals.

Lori Parkinson leads Santa Clara in scoring (11.2 ppg) and rebounding (6.4 per game). She tops the team with 19 blocks and adds 1.8 apg and 1.8 spg. Morgan McGwire is third in the WCC in shooting percentage with a mark of 51.6. She scores 11.1 ppg and adds 5.8 rpg. Savanna Hanson leads the team with 2.4 apg and is third in the conference with 2.4 spg. Hanson scores 8.8 ppg and is tied for the team lead with 15 3-pointers made. Taylor Berry is tops in the conference with 2.6 spg and adds 7.1 ppg and 3.5 rpg.

Santa Clara is 35-35 all-time vs. Pepperdine with the first meeting coming in 1978-79. Last season the Broncos swept the season series from the Waves.

Pepperdine (5-11, 1-4 WCC) is being outscored on the season 71.3-63.4 and outrebounded 40.4-36.1. The Waves shoot 38.4 percent from the field and 34.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Erica Ogwumike leads the team with 16.6 ppg and 7.3 rpg. She also leads the team with 30 steals and 20 3-pointers made. Paige Fecske leads Pepperdine with 3.9 apg and adds 8.8 ppg. Allie Green is second on the Waves in scoring with 9.9 ppg and is adding 2.8 rpg.
