Women's Soccer Hosts Pepperdine Wednesday on ESPNU

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer returns home to face Pepperdine Wednesday at 8 p.m. The match will be broadcast on ESPNU.

The Broncos fought to a 1-1 draw at Portland Saturday night in the lone game of the week.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 14-11 all-time against Pepperdine with the first meeting coming in 1994. Last year the Waves won 1-0 in Malibu.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (8-5-2, 2-0-2 WCC) is averaging 2.60 goals per game, good for eighth in the country, while outscoring opponents 39-18. The Broncos have a 241-139 edge in shots and a 119-74 lead in shots on goal. Their 44 assists and 2.93 per game are tops in the West Coast Conference and third and fourth in the nation.

Kelsey Turnbow leads the team with 27 points and nine assists, 22nd and 11th nationally, respectively, and is second with nine goals. Izzy D'Aquila's 10 goals pace the Broncos and she has 22 points. Kelcie Hedge and Maddy Gonzalez have both scored four times with Hedge picking up five assists and Gonzalez four. Machaela George and Alex Loera have both scored three goals with five others scoring once apiece.

Courtney Ogren has allowed 18 goals for a 1.29 GAA and has 52 saves for a .743 save percentage. The Broncos have picked up seven clean sheets on the year.

THE WAVES
Pepperdine (7-5-2, 3-1 WCC) has outscored opponents 19-17 on the year with a 157-155 advantage in shots and a 72-70 edge in shots on goal.

Hailey Stenberg and Shelby Little lead the team with three goals each. Leyla McFarland has a team-high four assists and is tied with Stenberg for the team lead with eight points. Little and Brie Welch each have seven points.

Kinsey Ehmann has played in 11 matches in net and allowed 13 goals for a 1.15 GAA. She has 43 saves and a .768 save percentage with five shutouts. Zoe Clevely has played in four games and allowed three goals for a 0.91 GAA. She has seven saves and a .700 save percentage with two shutouts.

The first 400 fans get a cowbell, presented by University Credit Union.

PARKING
For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot (see below for access), located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive. The construction of the Stephen C. and Patricia A. Schott Athletic Excellence Center has necessitated the closure of the main entrance (off Accolti Way) to the Leavey Center parking lot. Access is now ONLY directly from El Camino Real (Route 82). If you are traveling east on El Camino Real, the Leavey lot entrance will be approximately 150 yards on the right (enter through the black iron gate) after you pass the main campus entrance. If you are traveling west on El Camino, make a u-turn at the main campus entrance at Palm Drive/Railroad Ave and follow the same directions.
